Re: DIY log tunnel for guinea pig
I would not reccomend Glue, but I think you can use a certain type of tree Branch for them. Hang on, I am just going to look this up a bit, to make sure

You will have to be very careful the wood does not splinter, that is is very smooth and so on. Might be difficult but I'm sure it can be done. I think there is an animal friendly glue that you can buy from somewhere...
I use cardboard tunnels to be on the safe side.
Its a new idea to me, and good luck with it.

Thank You Admin...
Becasue I'm going to DIY a coroplast cage for my GP. So I am thinking of getting some DIY toy as well.
I saw from the Internet. The log tunnel. Looks great and can be used as a chewing material for them. Some recommend Apple Tree branch but in Malaysia its hard to look for an Apple Tree. I Can't say there is not even an apple tree. Can I use rubber tree? Or a manggo Tree branch? How about another type of tree?

Re: DIY log tunnel for guinea pig
Hmmm. That's a hard one. Somethings will be bad for the Guinea Pig to chew, or even posionous.
Guinea Pigs do eat Mangos, but this is a Branch we are talking about.
I am just going to do a bit of research. I will be back before long with an answer, so hang on...

Re: DIY log tunnel for guinea pig
Right:
Fruit Branches are ok, but avoid the rubber tree one. More in a minute...

Re: DIY log tunnel for guinea pig
Thank you. No problem at all. Just make sure that there are no splinters left in the wood or anything, and I am sure that she will be very happy.
Good- you going to all this effort for her
