Parasites
Guinea Pigs may suffer from various Parasites, some may be more harmful than others.
It is best to seek advice from a Vet, and help. But there is some basic information which can be provided here.
Be aware that some parasites can Kill, while others can do serious Harm. So best as said before to get the Guinea Pig treated before it becomes a big problem.
Static Lice-
These are not really a type of Lice, but a harmless type of Mite.
They normally gather around the rear of the Guinea Pig, and can normally be seen in large numbers.
They do not cause much itching because they lay their eggs on the strands of the hair.
More later!

Re: Parasites
My Guinea Pig has had them.
They are horrible! Like a rash on a babys backside, they just wont go away!
Anyway, the only product that worked was one that was intended for Birds!
