Question! Empty Question!

Hello,
I will register soon (when I get my Email sorted out)
Question:
We have a Syrian Hamster, well 2 actualy, and we put male and female Hamsters together for like 2 minutes.
Ever since then she has had a bit of a 'weight gain'.
Could she be pregnant?
And if so, how many could she have?

Thank You,
Hamster Lover.

From what I've heard you should not put 2 Syrian Hamsters together- they could kill each other or you may end up with babies which you can't rehome.
I really don't know. Female Syrians come in to heat every few Days don't they???

yes she could be pregnant. beth is right, syrian hamsters should be housed separatey 1 per cage. Even though sometimes they will look friendly, deep down they are solitary and end up in hurting each other. A female is on heat every 4 days.

kind regards

Yes, its not the best idea to house them together.
You may end up in a sticky situation.
